A/W '23 CLOSET ESSENTIALS

A/W '23 Wardrobe Essentials.

I may be slightly biased to the autumn/winter season fashion, all black outfits with no need to explain why because it just makes sense - and so much more of the same thing, in different ways. Let me run through a quick list of what I think are absolute essentials for the next few months.

I can lose my head to how long this list goes, so I will limit to 2 for clothes, shoes and accessories.

CLOTHES:

• Knitted Co-ord. Instantly yes, I like the basic fleece "tracksuits" like anyone else, but a knitted matching set works for lounging & errands or dressed up with a coat and boot, a late lunch outside.

• Oversized cardigan. Initial thought here was high neck knitwear and while that will forever be a basic staple, chunky cardigans are so much more fashionable and whatever design they come in can make a bland outfit more interesting because of the proportions.

SHOES:

• Boots, obviously! The versatility of this item gets better every decade. I love that Boots come in all shapes and sizes, literally! So trust me, we all need a pair of good booties in our lives!

• Chunky Mules / Clogs. The safe option for this second could be sneakers but I dare you to be uncomfortable and try something fun but definitely is not Crocs. This option offers style and while it is easy and comfortable it will give the impression that you care a slight bit more than if you wore your favorite Crocs.

ACCESSORIES

• Beanie + Scarfs / Gloves

I do not assume everyone sees sense in wearing gloves and they are not essential for everyday outfits but if you want to make ANY outfit more cosy and thought out, accessorize with your scarf and beanie! These do not have to be matching, but having a pair that is well coordinated is a good idea! You are not too old for the purrrfect set.

• Structured Tote bag. I am absolutely not talking about those cloth only ones, please free yourself from the claws of those bags for frequent use! You will have much better use from a bigger and structured tote bag. My favorite thing about tote bags recently is that they come various sized, so you can have a relatively small bag with the benefit of carrying your daily life with ease.
