Affirm A Baddie A Day.


Believe it or not, affirmations are all around you. The music you listen to, the people you spend time with - subconsciously we pick up the mantras and we start to believe them as a part of our lives. Which then should explain why I go through the whole year listening to 7 specific songs and leaning towards 5 certain people - they are soothing to believes they have (one way or another) implanted in me.

Affirmations help me in shifting my subconscious - it takes time, but all good things do!


About 4 years ago, I wanted to start exercising but my surroundings then simply did not cater to my desire - I still had diet culture mindset and the idea of ever being committed to roadwork made me anxious. With the help of a friend, I'd get to it once a month or so. I started affirmations around then, and specifically about that - fast forward 2019, roadwork was single-handedly keeping me as fit as I desired.





How I Construct Affirmations That Work.

• I affirm what I believe to be true about myself.

• I affirm what I believe I am worth - the simplest way to get what you want is to believe you are worth it.

• I affirm from a place of love - everything has to be fueled by love for me.

• If I can desire it, then I can have it - I am a creator.

• Sticking to myself, speak in first person.

• Repetition!


Starting out you might feel a little odd and that is fine, just as long as you don't stop believing - it's the work of vanity and sanity.


If you don't start believing greatness about yourself, you'll let just about any negative thought own you. Start and don't stop, because good things take time and you are worth it.
