noun
conceptions formed by directing the mind towards an object.
Setting monthly intentions has to be one of the best things about monthly resets. Being as mindful as possible about the month, weeks and days ahead gives me a headstart for the approaching month.
Goal-setting and the revision of said goals as the months go by is important to keep myself motivated and just so I see clearer about where I am.
HOW-TO
Setting monthly goals as portions of yearly goals is a habit I take part in as audit every month, in this post I share how:
Once goals for the particular month have been written down, meditate on what each goal means for every day.
Set intentions for each of the goals. Be intentional as them and write them down as thorough as possible.
Make the process as intuitive as you want. A fun way for me is by creating moodboards for what I want for the month, I channel whatever makes me feel close to my goals.
See intentions as themes for the new month.
Setting intentions can be a baseline to act on areas of your life you want to focus on. These intentions* will increase the probability of your desires happening.
TIPS
Start small with your intentions. If you are just starting, set an intention for just one goal and focus only on that.
Set daily intentions for how your intend to feel in your habitual movements. Intend to have great days.
Exist in the feelings of your intentions through gratitude.
Set your monthly intentions for the rest of the year and see how it works for your mindfulness.
