Spending Selfcare Sunday at Home?

Good Morning and happy cold weather (or not so happy?)

It feels like the thick of winter, yet it is only the beginning of Autumn but for me Sunday still feels like a home I always long for.

Whether your Sundays are for Lovers or solely for loving on yourself, I don't see how they cannot be all the much better with this cosy weather.

MENTAL-CARE

The temptation to stay in bed all day is so strong but it is more important now to ease the "living" load on your brain. Your brain already has core responsibilities, you should try to make them as easy as possible by doing things you would otherwise do on a regular Sunday.

  • Try journaling. Prompts on Instagram via: @livingluxewithledi

  • Be mindful with your life and therefore decisions.

  • Do not scroll social media mindlessly.

GENERAL-CARE

  • Make your bed, get out of it and let The sheets breathe for a few minutes before you set the bed properly.

  • Open your windows, every single day. This does not have to be for hours, but despite the temperature you should open your windows. The chill will shake you up, if you need it to!

  • Ensure your living space is livable. I personally dislike morning chores (needless to say nonexistent care for them on such cold mornings) so, I always ensure that I get any clutter out of the way before I make myself my favorite drink.

  • Stock up on vitamins. It's colds and flu season and you should give your immune system as much help as you can.

BODYCARE.

  • Hot baths in this weather are the best thing ever. I love everything from set-up to indulgence. This is the best time to release as much tension as you can.

  • Showers. For a nice scrub and body cleanse, have a shower before your baths - deep cleanse your body, try a body scrub (@luxeskinbyledi has you for these, try it out.)

  • Seal in moisture. I don't know if it is myth or fact, but dehydrated skin feels colder to live in. Lather your skin up with your favourite lotion and block out the cold.

NOURISHMENT.

  • Make food that makes you feel good. It's a Sunday and soul food will sure make me feel good.

  • Stay hydrated with water. It's much harder to keep up with water intake in this weather. Habits built over time come to save the day in this case; keep a filled bottle with your water for the reminder.

Happy Autumn, I hope you're warm and beloved in this cold. Enjoy your Sunday.
