Diverse Workouts You Can Do That Are Not All Cardio.

Listening to my body can sometimes feel hard, signs of tire through sore joints or 1 hour to get out of bed are not always easy to obey. However tired my body would say it is, I would push it through because I just love the high I get after a run.

"Fast pace, hard crash."

While I still definitely love running, I also love the goodness of obeying my body so it has longevity. So, I've been trying alternative workouts to jogs/runs that still give my mind a boost and my body the energy it needs as the day goes. What's more fun about these is that you may also enjoy later in the day for make bedtime more a breeze.

  1. Long walks.

Hot Girl Walks are loaded with benefits! As slow, long distance workouts, walking gives me time in nature, a good stretch to my legs and unlike running, I get to start my day calmly.

2. HIIT.

I just jump onto YouTube for these and I search something that aligns with my goals for the workout. Chloe Ting has a really awesome variety of home workouts that are not just focused on high intensity interval training. I am currently on a challenge on her website, check it out!

3. Yoga.

An absolute joy to experience on those slow mornings, yoga allows me the chance to tap into my body. When I've been neglecting it and I start feeling sluggish - I go in with slow movements such as yoga. I do visit YouTube for guidance sometimes but this workout is so often about just listening to my body and moving it how it wants to.

4. Stretching.

Not the same thing as yoga! This exercise makes me more flexible and unlike yoga, I do not have to hold static poses. I do these on the same day as my runs or walks to give ease to my joints and muscles.

5. Hiking.

Both fun and sobering, hikes are perfect for those not-so-sunny mornings when you want to move at a controllable pace.

6. Tennis.

A new type of workout for me, exciting but definitely lots of running around and flexibility. I'm quite excited to get better while having fun with this workout.

7. Dance.

Absolutely fun for a group setting, if you plan on doing friends, dancing is a sure way you all can get warmed up and sweaty.

These may not always resemble the intensity of your usual routine, but try them out and do something for the fun of it!

Happy Thursday, and see you soon.

Love, Luxe Ledi.
