If you follow anything "personal development" related, you surely must have heard all about staying in the moment, being present and all of that? Yeah?
Intentional living is yet another take on how the true pleasures of life are not far into the future, never in the past but always and forever right where you are.
Living with intention looks wildly different for everyone, for me it's a great signifier of power, something phenomenal happens when I say I'll do something and I pull every stop to get it done, that phenomena is often called confidence.
Intention, synonymous with purpose, is the idea that one plans for something - sets their mind on it and goes for it!
Intention is not bounded by duty, living intentionally frees one to their curiosities and that means, the freedom to embrace your many phases as you become them.
3 DAILY HABITS TO SHIFT INTO INTENTIONALLY LIVING :
1. Creating mind dump lists.
Take note of your thoughts first thing in the morning or at the end of the night. Empty it all onto a notepad: to-do lists, people to connect with, the days completed tasks, things to carry over - as much of it as you can! Your mind might even go blank at first but you get used to it.
2. Planning your day the night before.
Focus is an expensive commodity. Some people believe days are long and are plagued with boredom, others believe days are too short and somehow they can't get everything done by the end of the day - both these types of people have 24 hours and no idea how to use them. Plan your day, it's an easy first step to getting back on the driver's seat.
3. Incorporating daily life-affirming and action-prompting rituals.
Prompt cards are easily my favourite meditative activity of choice. Little reminders that give you the opportunity to be mindful of being who you need to become in the moment to tap into future you.
There is undeniable power in living how you choose, creating a value system that allows you to be more than you thought you could. That power is confidence, tap into yours.
