Below are 8 habits I think anyone can do a little of! Read on.
Meaningful Connections.
Human connections feel most important to me now, the last several years have taken away people I hoped I still have time with.
Value being fully present in moments, ask thoughtful questions that do not just touch the surface, show interest and be very less judgemental.
Most importantly, do not go where people do not beam at your sight. You deserve to be around people who value your entire being as you grow into a better you.
Intuitive Eating.
Do you know when to eat? When to stop eating? Or even how much is enough for you?
Food can easily become a comfort and that should not be so, while food must certainly be enjoyed it is important that one remembers that it is primarily meant to keep us alive! So, in the new year strive to eat consciously. Consume food that you know your body will benefit from, eat because you actually hungry and do it mindfully so you know when to stop - shortly thereafter you will know what portions work for you.
Minimalist Lifestyle.
This, I believe, is the path to happy living. According to Karthik, minimalist lifestyle involves living with lesser resources or possessions. It is a thought process of how a person chooses to live with all they already have and still be satisfied.
I honestly strive to mimic this lifestyle a little more every year and 2022 is no different - I believe this is what is meant by "romanticizing" one's life.
Being Truthful.
Lies are late, try not to lie as often as you can. Lies steadily build a character trait you do not want to keep with you for credibility. While the truth can get tricky at times, when navigated with good intent it gets better.
Prioritizing Movement.
Exercise does not always have to be vigorous, but a little everyday goes a long way. In 2022, prioritize keeping your body moving for its benefit, go for end-of-day walks or slide in pilates on cardio-free days.
Instead of making this obligatory, move towards it with love and you might find it relaxing and fun instead of it being an outcome-based workout.
Prioritizing your time.
When you have a little too much of time on your hands, this does not seem important but once tasks fill your to-do list you may start thinking a little about it. However, only thinking about it leads to procrastination which is simply one of the most disrespectful habits to anyone who wants to live consciously. This is not to say every hour of your day must be productive, it's more about you understanding how whatever you choose to do add value to who you will be. It could be taking a nap during your day, that can help you prioritize rest which is equally as important as finishing the most important task first.
Adequate Sleep.
Sleeping anything less than 7 hours is torture, because there is no reason why. You might just be wasting your time awaking at 6a.m. if by 9a.m. you're yawning. There is no need to fall into irregular sleep patterns that do not work for you because R*bin Sh*rm* suggested it. Instead hit the sack on time so you can start your day revitalized - reserve the last 2 hours for your evening routine and no screen time so your mind shuts off with ease when it's time to sleep.
Accountability.
Being accountable is so grown, this is peak adulthood. You are responsible for your entire life - taking responsibility for how you behave, what you say and what you believe in gives very much ATTRACTIVE. Unfortunately, it also means being accountable for those toxic traits you have been avoiding for a while, or your input in that toxic relationship. The reward of doing the shadow work to get to accountability is worth it.
I hope you grow courageous as this year goes and you are happy, thank you for reading and happy new year!
